Course Description:

This course focuses on a deeper level of using the Engineering Design Process in STEM Education through trans-disciplinary unit implementation and assessment.

Objectives:

  • Model Digital Age Work and Learning ( NETS-T3)
    • Participate in a Transdisciplinary design
    • Collaborate with students, peers, parents and community members to support student success and innovation
  • Create Trandsiciplinary STEM Curriculum
    • Create inquiry based and design focused learning targets
    • Utilize 5E teaching and learning and UBD
    • Create units with community connection
  • Design standards/competency based performance assessments
    • Employ formative feedback
    • Utilize field expertise to provide feedback
    • Utilize summative feedback, redesign and supplemental instruction
