The curricula designed by the teachers will challenge the students to observe similarities and differences between the environment and/or culture of the environmentally aware as well as the future of global issues.
Student will be able to:
1. Develop a project, identifying a problem, testing a belief, or demonstrating/explaining a phenomena in an enviromnentally way.
2. Design a unit/lesson in which students are engaged in a lesson following the criteria of one or more of the educational models researched from the current literature on instructional models.
3. Design a unit and/or lesson in which there is meaningful use of a variety of teclmology and software applications.
4. Implement this lesson/unit into an appropriate course within the next school term.
About The Instructor
Jody Barbie earned her M.S. in Education, with a minor in emotional disturbances, from North Dakota State University. Her B.S. in Education and English was also from North Dakota State University. Jody has experience as an adjunct professor for North Dakota State University and previously taught for the Fargo Public Schools. In her 35 year career, Jody has also served on several boards, has experience in grant writing, and has won several professional awards for her teaching.
A minimum $20 processing fee will be assessed per person for cancellations received after the start of the course. Refunds are not issued after the start of the course or after access to the course has been provided.
