Course Description:

This course addresses an issue that every educator faces: How to effectively teach students who have widely different skill levels, interests, and learning styles. In this course, you will learn how to effectively coordinate your time, resources, and efforts so that learning is maximized for each student in your class. Learn how to take your specific curriculum and the particular student needs and design and teach successful lessons. Recommended for grades K-9.


The participant will

1.  Explore reasons why differentiated instruction is necessary in today's classroom.

2.  Describe the 8 principles of successful differentiated instruction.

3.  Explore successful examples of differentiated instruction in schools across the country.

4.  Design a differentiated activity to implement in their own classrooms.
