Course Description:

Take purposeful, powerful steps towards change; increase your professional development and transform your school through learning communities. This course will guide you through the process moving from concepts to action, providing research on best practices, and strategies for implementation of the professional learning community (PLC).

Objectives:

As a result of this participation in this course, students should:

1.  Understand the issues and challenges of creating a PLC

2.  Identify tips and strategies for a successful PLC

3.  Discover the elements necessary to move from discussion to successful implementation of a PLC

4.  Analyze current practices in their schools and recommend needed changes
