Course Description:
Finally, a course on the popular 6+1 writing traits for teachers in grades K-2! The writing traits model has improved student writing in countless districts across the country; now you can apply these strategies in your primary classroom. Recommended for grades K-2.
Objectives:
The participant will:
1. Demonstrate understanding of the 6+ 1 Traits of Writing:
a. Ideas b. Organization c. Voice d. Word Choice e. Sentence Fluency f. Conventions g. Presentation
2. Devise effective ways of integrating all traits of writing into their classrooms.
3. Demonstrate proficiency in assessing student writing using the traits as the criteria.
