With this course, you will acquire the theory and skills to improve communication with parents, hold more effective parent conferences, and implement strategies that build a collaborative partnership between school and home. You will be presented with the theoretical foundation and implementation designs that will prepare you to work more effectively with parents to improve student achievement.

About The Instructor
Dr. Larry Napoleon earned his Ph.D. in Education from Pennsylvania State University, specializing in Curriculum & Instruction. His M.A. in Education was awarded from Xavier University. Dr. Larry Napoleon is currently an Assistant Professor at the North Dakota State University School of Education where he teaches undergraduate and graduate level education courses, develops professional development coursework for K-12 teachers, supervises student teachers, and engages in scholarly research, writing, and conference presentations. Larry was a special education teacher for 5 years. He was previously a graduate assistant and instructor for the Pennsylvania State University Department of Curriculum & Instruction.
