Course Description:
Introduce beginners to "exploring" science by "doing" it. Slightly more advanced than Everyday Science Stuff Around Us. They will recycle tires into their landfill - then make a highway out of them instead. Discover the difference between solid, liquid and gas, make a boat that runs on soap, and distinguish between the physical properties of rough/smooth, hard/soft, and light/heavy. They will try to push mass, fly a film can rocket, manage magnetism, explore light bending, and figure out why a light bulb lights up. This and much more. Each activity has a corresponding reading lesson utilizing three levels of reading ability. Great way to get students excited about science!!!
Seela Science specializes in taking an individual state’s Science Standards and customizing a K-8th curriculum to match completely what each teacher is mandated to teach in that state. We can do this because we have written over 800 activities, covering all the science concepts and teaching levels. These are kept individually in our curriculum library. This gives us the freedom to customize to the needs of an individual state.
