Course Description:
So what makes a meteorologist so smart? What do they know that we don't? The answer is simple; they have an Eye on the Sky! You also will understand that temperature affects air pressure, air pressure affects all of us, and that it has predictable properties. You will study convection currents, the greenhouse effect, why the sky is blue, the power of ice, and the importance of the water cycle. You will make a psychrometer, barometer, anemometer, and rain gauge, tornado, and a rain shadow! All in a day's work for a meteorologist!
Seela Science specializes in taking an individual state’s Science Standards and customizing a K-8th curriculum to match completely what each teacher is mandated to teach in that state. We can do this because we have written over 800 activities, covering all the science concepts and teaching levels. These are kept individually in our curriculum library. This gives us the freedom to customize to the needs of an individual state.
