Course Description:
What happens when you get 15 or more strangers together who know nothing about one another? They only know that they will have a conversation. A conversation that can change relationships, change the way we think of them and each other. Conversations such as this can be hurtful, emotional, and yet inspiring. What each one will take away from the conversation will really be the test. 15 or more people, with one book will have a Courageous Conversation About Race.
Goals & Objectives:
Participants must successfully complete:
a. Read and collaboratively discuss the approved text.
b. Respond to a series of questions based on the approved text created by the instructor.
c. Reflections of your class discussions documented in a journal -- 4 entries.
d. Create a Staff Professional Development Workshop for the staff at your place of employment.
