Course Description:
This course will inspire students through amazing real-life stories of women acting as agents of change to reduce maternal mortality, gender-based violence, and sex trafficking. Students will examine how the impact of economic empowerment and education can break the cycle of poverty.
Objectives:
1) To raise awareness of the problems facing women and girls worldwide from sex-trafficking to barriers to education and economic opportunity.
2) Participants will identify barriers facing women and girls in their own communities.
3) All participants will be empowered to action.
