Course Description:

This course introduces participants to the elements of building achievement and transforming education by fostering their students’ abilities, interests and creativity.  The text will set forth creative approaches that can enhance the student’s awareness to finding fulfillment in their learning journey.


As a result of participation in this course, students should:

  • Be able to incorporate information from the text, Internet articles, and video clips to learn, find & understand the natural attributes and interests of students, & inspire them in fulfilling their potentials in,
  • the learning environment by exploring the full range of their abilities,
  • interests, and incorporating the concept of creativity in the classroom.

About The Instructor

Dewey Walsh

Dewey J. Walsh, Ed.D. was a public school teacher and guidance counselor for 34 years. Dewey taught graduate-level professional education classes through Moorhead State University, Moorhead, MN for 10 years and the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN, for 26 years. Dewey was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota where he attended the University of North Dakota, earning a B.S. &  M.A. in Education and a Doctorate in Teacher Education.
