In this session, we will learn how to use tools within Blackboard Learn 9.1 to address two significant questions for an online instructor:

How are students performing in the course?
How is the course performing for students?

Specifically, we will explore how Course Reports, the Early Warning System and the Performance Dashboard can inform instructors about student and course performance.  We will also examine how these tools can identify students in need of interventions.

Faculty and instructors teaching an online class will benefit from this session by learning how to:

  • Navigate to the appropriate tools within the Blackboard Learn 9.1 interface.
  • Create and activate an Early Warning System rule.
  • Access and sort data within the Performance Dashboard.
  • Run Course Reports.
  • Articulate a rationale for using Course Reports, the Early Warning System and the Performance Dashboard.
