NDSU DCE TO OFFER ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS DAY CELEBRATIONS

North Dakota State University Distance & Continuing Education (DCE) will offer two Administrative Professionals Day Celebrations Saturday, April 18 from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Howard Johnson Inn and Wednesday, April 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the NDSU DCE office.

On April 18th Linda Schwartzwalter will present “Personal Accountability”.  Schwartzwalter will examine accountability through the consequences of blaming and not being accountable.   Participants will learn strategies that change behavior from blaming and victim mentality to accountable behavior. This event is sponsored by NDSU Distance & Continuing Education and the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP).  The “Personal Accountability” event is $15 for IAAP members and $25 for non-members, pre-registration is required. 

On April 22nd Sherri Nordstrom Stastny, Phd, LRD and Lady Wellness will present “Everyday Nutrition and Wellness”.  This event is designed to inform participants of foods that contain compounds associated with anti-aging, cancer prevention, and heart health among other benefits. They will offer everyday activities that help in creating and maintaining a healthy life-style. Learn exercises you can do on your breaks at work. This event is sponsored by NDSU Distance & Continuing Education and Lady Wellness.  The “Everyday Nutrition and Wellness” event is $25 for IAAP members and $35 for non-members, pre-registration is required.

Linda Schwartzwalter is the Organization Development Manager at MeritCare. She has been with MeritCare for 21 years. Her undergraduate and Master’s degrees are in Sociology and has also served as Adjunct Faculty for Concordia and NDSU – teaching Introduction to Sociology.

Dr. Sherri Nordstrom Stastny is an Assistant Professor at NDSU in the College of Human Development and Education, Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences. Dr. Nordstrom Stastny was previously the Director of Food and Nutrition Services at Heartland Hospital in Fargo.
