Paralegal Certificate of Completion
NDSU, in partnership with Midwest Paralegal Studies, is offering an online 12-month Paralegal Certificate of Completion.
This professional non-credit program is recommended for those in the legal profession seeking advancement or for someone interested in a career change. It is open to anyone with a high school diploma/GED.
This certificate begins with a FREE orientation seminar.

Classes
Classes may be taken in any order. Students must begin at the start of each class term

Paralegal Research - 7 weeks
This class is designed to teach students entry level knowledge of tri-state law library access for purpose of writing a final legal office memo with proper citation and Shepardizing.

Paralegal Jurisprudence - 7 weeks
This class is designed to teach students entry level knowledge of the various practices in law for purpose of choosing a career direction and advancement in a particular specialty.

Paralegal Litigation - 7 weeks
This class is designed to teach students entry level fundamental procedures in civil/criminal assistance in pre-trial, trial, post-trial and appeal including court searching and abstracting.

Paralegal Management - 7 weeks
This class is designed to teach students entry level knowledge of the legal organization, technology and structure as it applies to law firms, government, corporations and freelancing.

Paralegal Career - 7 weeks
This class is designed to teach students entry level job search through the portfolio method and career advancement techniques as it applies to law firms, government, corporations and freelancing.
