MODEL Peer Mentoring Program

August 1, 2007, Posted by Malika Carter

The Multicultural Student Services Department has an exciting program - the MODEL Peer Mentoring Program (Mentoring Opportunities to Develope Excellent Leadership) to warmly welcome our new under-represented students, connect them with NDSU students and assist them upon their arrival.

It is a great opportunity for NDSU students who are interested in meeting new people to make new friends and for returning students to continue their cross-cultural learning experiences.

As a MODEL Peer Mentor (or Mentee), we would like students to commit to:

  • E-mailing their peer to welcome them on their arrival.
  • Helping their peer get settled during the first few days.
  • Joining their peer at upcoming exciting events over the year sponsored by Multicultural Student Services.

If you know students who are interested in the aforementioned, and who want to get connected, please discuss the opportunity with them or forward this e-mail.

Need more information? E-mail Malika Carter at Malika.Carter@ndsu.edu, or call 701-231-1029, Multicultural Student Services.
