NDSU Division of Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach 2013-2014 Diversity Impact Award

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2013-14 Diversity Impact Award: Commission on the Status of Women.

Nominations will be accepted starting in Fall 2014 for the 2014-15 Diversity Impact Award.

 NOMINATION INSTRUCTIONS
To recognize and celebrate the work done by members of the NDSU campus community to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that supports all forms of diversity the Impact Award will be awarded annually during the Green and Golden Globe Diversity Awards (April 30, 2014).

This award will consist of $500 donated to the charity of the recipient’s choice.

Purpose
To recognize individuals, groups, and units campus and community-wide that have demonstrated a significant contribution to advancing diversity, through positive interactions with others, a respect and value for differing backgrounds and points of view within and/or external to NDSU.

Description
The 2013-2014 NDSU IMPACT AWARD will be given annually to an individual, group, or unit that has actively and positively promoted the concept of diversity by enhancing or contributing to the overall environment of the community or university.

Criteria
The recipient(s) will have demonstrated a high regard for diversity by demonstrating one or more of the following:

 

  • Commitment to the spirit of diversity.
  • Leadership through positive interaction among persons of diversity identities and backgrounds.
  • Behavior that illustrates commitment to inclusion of persons within the institution who are members of traditionally under-represented groups.

Eligibility
All campus and community members, groups, and units are eligible for this nomination.

Nomination Process
Nominations may be made by any community member or NDSU student, staff or faculty member.  Nomination forms may be accessed electronically (PDF format/Microsoft Word format), or picked up in the Office of Multicultural Programs, Memorial Union 178.

Nominations are now being accepted. Please send nominations to the Impact Awards Committee c/o Kara Gravley-Stack at NDSU Office of Multicultural Programs, MU 178. Nomination Deadline is Friday, February 28, 2014.
