Minutes:
- Evie Myers, co-chair, welcomed everyone and led a discussion on the Mr. NDSU event. The Diversity Council will be preparing a response.
- Wendy Troop Gordon gave the strategic review team report from the Office of the Provost/VPAA. There was a summary of diversity efforts, research and creative activities, recruitment and retention, notable promising practices, and potential efforts and goals for the future.
- Bunnie Johnson-Messlet along with Michael Harwood gave an update on the strategic review team report from the Office of the VPSA, which will be presented to VPSA Council.
- Gene Berry and Ann Burnett will give their strategic review team report from the VPRCATT and VPAG/Extension at the April 11 meeting.
- Evie reminded everyone of the due dates for the Impact Award. Evie Myers, Kerri Spiering, Kevin McCaul, and Michael Harwood will serve on the subcommittee choosing the recipient.
- The Diversity Council has been asked to participate in the Welcome Week Event. Kristen Behrens, Malika Carter, Kerri Spiering, Joe Heilman, Michael Harwood, and Bunnie Johnson-Messelt will be the committee coordinating the events. They will give the Diversity Council an update at the April 11 meeting.
- Jaclynn Wallette distributed a brochure for the NDUS Diversity Conference being held in Grand Forks on April 9 & 10.
- The next meeting of the NDSU Diversity Council is Friday, April 11, at 11:30 a.m. in Meinecke.
