Shibboleth
Shibboleth is a widely deployed federated identity solution that originated with Internet2. It is based on SAML 2.0.
InCommon
NDSU is applying to become a member of InCommon. The NDSU Participant Operation Practices document is available for review. It is current as of January 2nd, 2013.
Using Shibboleth
At this point in time, Shibboleth at NDSU is only for use with InCommon service providers. The preferred mechanism for providing login to 3rd parties and entities at NDSU is still CAS.
