Extension Education
Admission requirements include the following:
- Verification of a 2.75 GPA, or above, in the student's total academic program. Students are expected to maintain at least a 2.75 GPA throughout the program.
- Evidence of competence in English/Writing as demonstrated by a minimum GPA of 2.5 or above in English 110 and 111 or equivalent, or a minimum grade of a B in English 358 or equivalent, or a minimum ACT English score of 20, SAT verbal score of 450 or PSAT verbal score of 45.
- Minimum grade of B or better in Speech Communication 110 or equivalent.
- Signatures of the department chair for the major area, the student's academic advisor and a faculty member who has responsibility for advising students in extension education.

H&CE 444 Planning the Community Program in Agricultural Education or
H&CE 468 Family Life and Adult Education Programs 3 credits
H&CE 445 Technology Transfer in Agriculture 3 credits
H&CE 481 Methods of Teaching Agriculture or
H&CE 482 Methods of Teaching Family and Consumer Sciences or
EDUC 451 Instructional Planning, Methods, and Assessment 3 credits
H&CE 496 Extension Internship 6-9 credits
Total: 20-23 credits
