Admission requirements include the following:

• Verification of a 2.75 GPA, or above, in the student's total academic program. Students are expected to maintain at least a 2.75 GPA throughout the program.
• Evidence of competence in English/Writing as demonstrated by a minimum GPA of 2.5 or above in English 110 and 111 or equivalent, or a minimum grade of a B in English 358 or equivalent, or a minimum ACT English score of 20, SAT verbal score of 450 or PSAT verbal score of 45.
• Minimum grade of B or better in Speech Communication 110 or equivalent.
• Signatures of the department chair for the major area, the student's academic advisor and a faculty member who has responsibility for advising students in extension education.
