PRAXIS Information

PRAXIS I:

The PRAXIS I exam can be taken paper/pencil based through the NDSU Counseling Center (Ceres 212) or computer based at Prometric Test Center (call 701-356-9000) to schedule an appointment

The PRAXIS I exam is required for admission into the School of Education

PRAXIS II:

The ND Educational Standards and Practices Board requires candidates seeking licensure to pass the appropriate PRAXIS II examination in their teaching area. Presently, this requirement applies to the majors listed below. Additional content areas will be periodically added to this list. All ND Teacher Education programs are required to have 80% of candidates in each teaching specialty pass the appropriate examination. We are required to report those scores annually.

In order to meet these requirements, the Teacher Education program at NDSU now requires all candidates to take and report to NDSU the score for the appropriate PRAXIS II examination prior to student teaching.
