Dr. Dale Sullivan

Dale Sullivan earned his Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1988. Since then he has served on the graduate faculties of Michigan Technological University, The University of Nebraska (Kearney), Northern Illinois University, The University of Minnesota, and North Dakota State University.
He came to North Dakota State as the department head of English in 2003; as of July 1, 2010 he has returned to being full-time faculty.
His research interests are in the history of rhetoric and writing instruction, the rhetoric of science, the rhetoric of religion, writing in the disciplines, and the ethics and politics of technical communication.
