I have been at NDSU since Fall 1985. I typically teach: Honors Composition, Literature of Peace and Conflict Honors Seminar, Fantasy and Science Fiction, British Literature Survey II, World Literature Survey, and British Romantic Literature.

For Fall 2011, you can find me teaching Honors Composition along with Fantasy and Science Fiction. This next spring I'll be teaching Literature of Peace and Conflict, Honors Seminar, and World Literature Survey.
My research interests include British Romantic Literature, Gothic Literature, Fantasy and Science Fiction.

I have a wife, a dog, and 3,704 more relatives than I thought I had before taking up genealogy.  When I’m not with my wife, my dog, or my 3,704 new relatives, a fair number of whom are still alive, I’m likely to be off looking for birds.
