I have been at NDSU since August 2010 when I entered the PhD program in Rhetoric, Writing and Culture. I typically teach English 358 Writing in the Humanities and Social Sciences. This spring I plan to teach English 320 Business and Professional Communication along with another section of English 358.  My research interests include the history of rhetoric, ways of using literature in the writing classroom (and vice versa), creative writing, pedagogy, and I am planning to write my dissertation on poetic invention and pedagogy in creative writing classrooms.
