I am a Masters student on the Literature Track. I received my Bachelors of Science in English from NDSU in 2012 and wrote my Capstone paper on Feminism in The Hunger Games, Twilight, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I currently teach two sections of English 120. My primary academic interests are Young Adult Literature, American women writers, dystopian fiction, Romance, and Sci-fi. I prefer 20th century or contemporary American fiction, but there is a special place in my heart for Kate Chopin. I write mostly inside a gendered framework and would like to someday further my gender studies education. My non-academic interests include dance, running (it’s a love/hate relationship), cooking, sewing, and gardening.
