I teach English 112 and 122 to non-native speakers of English and enjoy working with students from all over the world.  The ELL English classroom is a delightful place to practice the craft of writing essays, closely examine works of literature, and learn the sometimes-crazy grammar rules.  I enjoy hearing the diverse cultural perpsectives my students bring to the classroom and find that we all have much to learn from each other.

In addition to teaching at NDSU, I often teach various writing courses at Minnesota State University and Concordia College. I'm interested in a host of issues, but those pertaining to global and cultural perspectives, social justice, environmental concerns, and women's issues lead the pack.

I hold a BA and an MA in English from Fort Hays State University. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my three kids and husband, reading, creative writing, and gardening.
