COBRE research cluster faculty supported by ND EPSCoR and matching funds from the state of North Dakota have generated federal grant income over 20 times the initial investment.

Senior researchers generally serve as principal investigators for major grant projects and junior faculty are mentored in developing their research skills as co-principal investigators.

Over 35 undergraduate and graduate students work as research assistants on these projects and will become capable researchers themselves.
