champion their work effectively to the outside world.

       June 14, 2013 - Day One ONLY (Session runs 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.)

What makes this workshop so valuable? What makes it different?


Techniques/skills for effective communications are offered in an interactive setting for developing effective communications—from grant proposals and classroom lectures, media interviews and presentations. These professional communicators offer practical advice, easy-to-use guides, and incorporate talk-and-slides, blogs, videos, Twitter, media interviews, and Q&A sessions into the hands-on workshop.


Three expert communicators will reveal professional approaches and real-world insights, and let you in on their secrets for communicating effectively. They include:

Dan Agan, President of Panthera Group LLC, a marketing, communications and media consultancy.
Chris Mooney, Bestselling science journalist and commentator, host of the Point of Inquiry podcasts, and author three books, including Unscientific America: How Scientific Illiteracy Threatens Our Future.
Joe Schreiber, President of Mattmar Productions, and help launch and produce NBC’s George Michael Sports Machine
