Guidelines For Providing Equal Opportunity Notices at
North Dakota State University
Notification of NDSU's equal opportunity and related policies and information
is required by a variety of federal laws and regulations. These guidelines
have been developed to clarify how and when these notifications are given
at NDSU. The office(s) identified in brackets is responsible to assure
that the appropriate equal opportunity notice(s) is provided according
to these guidelines:
- The University's equal opportunity policy statement (see Attachment
I) shall be distributed each year in October to all those on the
payroll as of September 30 of that year. This distribution shall also
include the institution's sexual harassment policy (see
Attachment II).

- The University's equal opportunity policy statement (Attachment I)
and the sexual harassment policy (Attachment II) shall also be printed
annually in a September or October issue of It's Happening at State,
and the Spectrum.

- The equal opportunity policy statement including references to relevant
federal laws and regulations (Attachment III)
shall be printed in each issue of the NDSU Bulletin and the NDSU
Graduate Bulletin, and in The Code of Student Conduct.

Affairs, and Office of Equity and Diversity]
- The sexual harassment policy (Attachment II), the Equal Opportunity
Grievance Procedures (NDSU Policy Manual, Section 156), and Working
with Students with Disabilities: Pointers for Faculty Members (Attachment
IV) shall be printed in The Code of Student Conduct.

- Other publications or materials, including those available on-line,
used to solicit participation in a University program of aid, benefit
or service should generally include BOTH of these statements:
- NDSU is an Equal Opportunity Institution AND
- This publication will be made available in alternative formats

- regarding this notice see Attachment V.)
These publications and materials include , but are not limited to, the
following:
- Undergraduate and Graduate School admissions application forms.

- Student recruitment or informational fact sheets and brochures of
a single page, including multifold pieces, and posters. Public event
schedules or announcements are excluded.

- Quarterly and Summer Session class schedules and Summer Session brochures.
[Registrar]
- Continuing Studies program brochures.

- All advertisements and position vacancy notices.

- Employment application form.
