Gray Dress with Magenta and Lime Green Design and Hanging Berries

description:

Dress, made in gray crepe fabric. Has magenta flowers with lime green leaves. Darker gray ribbons or painted-like strokes with black outlines and squiggles. Sweetheart neckline, with gathering at near shoulders. Short sleeves. Bodice has wrap effect, but is secured. Skirt also has wrap effect with flounce down left front. Embellished with appliques of self fabric. Appliques are embellished with magenta and gold sequins. Berries (balls) decorated in magenta, green and gold beads and sequins hang from right shoulder and left waistline, where flounce starts. Metal zipper on left side. c. 1930s
