Lori Larusso Exhibition

Join painter Lori Larusso, the James Rosenquist Artist in Residence 2012, for an exhibition of her works created during her residency at North Dakota State University.

Ms. Larusso uses representations of generic and stereotypical middle-America in her paintings to remind the viewer of the culture one maintains on a daily basis.  She uses this to explore the contradictions that exist in society's system of beliefs by pointing to the complexity of individual situations.  She believes ideals are reflections of the way one wishes things were, rather than the way they are actually experienced.
