NDSU Opera Presents The Magic Flute
The NDSU Opera Theatre is proud to present The Magic Flute, the final opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, April 26 and 28 in Festival Concert Hall.
Follow the adventures of Prince Tamino and Papageno the Bird Catcher as they set forth to rescue Princess Pamina in Mozart’s colorful fairytale. The Magic Flute will delight seasoned opera-goers to children with the famously dazzling “Queen of the Night” aria to Papageno’s amusing melodies. Blending myth, magic, and beautiful music, this is one of the world’s most frequently performed operas and fun for the whole family.
The Magic Flute will be performed in English; directed by J. Sherwood Montgomery, formerly of San Diego Lyric Opera. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ndsu.edu/finearts or by calling 701.231.7969.
