About Becky Gulsvig

Becky Gulsvig is always happy to visit home! While growing up in Moorhead, she danced with Eddie and Kathy Gasper, spent her summers performing at Trollwood Performing Arts School and her school years with the MHS theater department and Speech team. Her regional work includes the World Premier of  Baby Case (Studio Sister/Ginger Rogers), Grease (Patty Simcox), A Funny Thing...(Philia), and Lawyers, Lovers and Lunatics (Eve Bursteter). She traveled Europe, the New England/Canadian coast, and the Caribbean with Royal Caribbean as a singer and met her husband, Tyler, in the process! She appeared on All My Children as Jeannie Campion, has done various commercials and many readings of new works in NYC. Becky’s made her Broadway debut in Hairspray and after a year in the ensemble took over the role of Amber Von Tussle. After Hairspray, she went on to be an Original Cast Member of Legally Blonde the Musica. Becky played the role of Leilani and understudied 3 roles including Elle Woods. She performed with the Broadway cast on The View, The Today Show and The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Becky left the Broadway show to star as Elle Woods on the 1st National Tour of Legally Blonde. She toured with the show for 2 years and during that time was nominated for a Helen Hayes award, performed on the Bonnie Hunt Show and made a special appearance on the 63rd Annual Tony Awards. After the tour closed, Becky and Tyler settled in New Jersey, where they currently live with their golden retriever (who is from Moorhead!) and their daughter, Hazel, who is now almost 2!
