DESCRIPTION:November 9\, 2012 -- The North Dakota State University Wind Symphony is pleased to announce a campus visit by composer David Maslanka\, best known for his wind ensemble pieces.  Maslanka will be present at the Wind Symphony Concert on Tuesday\, December 4 at 7:30 PM in Festival Concert Hall. Maslanka has written more than 40 works for wind ensemble\, including Symphonies 2\, 3\, 4\, 5\, 7\, 8\, and 9\, 12 concertos\, a Mass\, and many concert pieces. His wind chamber music includes four wind quintets\, two saxophone quartets\, and many works for solo instrument and piano.
