Theatre Faculty/Staff Openings
Carpenter/Foreman - Part Time (posted November 14, 2011)
Duties include
- Serve as Master Carpenter for LCT productions
- Supervise and train students in layout and construction, painting, installing, maintaining and striking of scenery and properties for LCT productions.
- Working with the Technical Director and student staff to organize orders and maintain supplies/inventory of construction materials, and stock items. To maintain shop machinery, tools, storage spaces and theatre stage spaces.
Minimum qualifications: Practical experience in carpentry and construction techniques, including power tools, shop machinery and materials. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Hours are generally 20 hours per week-Mon.-Fri. 1 pm to 5 pm during the school year. Some weekend hours are required for load-in and strike. For more information or to send a resume call 701-231-7706 or email to mark.engler@ndsu.edu.
