Dr. Elizabeth Chaussé Lecturer Degrees:
Elizabeth Chaussé joined the NDSU faculty in the spring of 2004 after completing her doctorate from the Ohio State University. Dr. Chaussé was previously a visiting Assistant Professor of flute and theory at the University of Idaho where she taught applied flute, theory, and aural skills classes. Originally from the Northwest, Ms. Chaussé received her bachelor’s degree in flute performance magna cum laude from the University of Idaho, and subsequently won a fellowship to pursue graduate studies at the Ohio State University. Dr. Chaussé has performed concertos with several orchestras as a Young Artist and competition winner, including the Spokane and Washington-Idaho symphony orchestras. She has also been a member of many orchestras including the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony, Faculty Chamber Orchestra of the Ohio State University, and is currently co-principal of the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Chaussé has studied with Richard Hahn, Katherine Borst Jones and John Barcellona and performed in masterclasses for Samuel Sanders, Kyril Magg, Nancy Hadden, Trevor Wye, Leone Buyse and Paula Robison. In the summer of 2007, she traveled to Italy for a session with Andrea Oliva at the Saint Cecilia Academy in Rome. An active performer, recitalist, and clinician
throughout the region, Dr. Chaussé is also an avid enthusiast
for chamber music and is currently the coordinator of the faculty chamber
music series at NDSU. |
