Karin Wakefield Lecturer Degrees:
Karin Wakefield has been an active performer in the Midwest and the New England states as an orchestral, chamber, and solo musician. She is currently an adjunct instructor of horn and piano at Concordia College (Moorhead, MN), adjunct instructor of horn at North Dakota State University, and principal horn of both the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony and the Fargo Moorhead Opera. In addition, she is a member of the Fargo Moorhead Symphony Woodwind Quintet and is an active accompanist in the region. Ms. Wakefield has performed with a number of ensembles, including the Concordia Faculty Trio, Prairie Wind Brass, New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, Nashua Symphony Orchestra, and the North Shore Brass Quintet in addition to performing as a freelance musician in the Boston, MA area. Ms. Wakefield has studied with David Kamminga of the Minnesota Orchestra and Pricilla McAfee of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. Additional studies have been completed with Kendall Betts, Charles Kavalovski, Daniel Katzen, and Barry Tuckwell. |
