Sublett to Perform Solo Recital

Virginia Sublett, professor of music, has been invited to present a solo vocal recital at St. Andrew the Apostle Episcopal Church, Encinitas, CA on July 10.  With Gabriel Arregui, pianist, she will sing music of Luciano Berio, Hector Berlioz, Hugo Wolf, Joaquin Rodrigo, and John Duke.

Dr. Sublett will also conduct the a cappella ensemble, Cappella Gloriana, at its 15th anniversary concert the following week.  Dr. Sublett co-founded this professional ensemble with Dr. Stephen Sturk (D.M.A., NDSU 2009) in 1996 and co-directed it until she joined the NDSU faculty in 2004.  The concert will feature choral music by Mendelssohn and Brahms, among others.
