Book to Highlight NDSU Music Program
November 28, 2012
Dr. Robert Groves, Professor with the NDSU School of Music, is in the process of writing a book documenting the history of music at North Dakota State University.
“I have been here for 40 years and have seen numerous changes in the program,” said Groves. “It has been exciting to discover what was happening in the 1920s or 30s and see photographs of these people and activities. It shows the musical life here at NDSU is just as vibrant now as it was then.”
The book will be a chronological, and mostly pictorial, history of the music program and will focus on its growth, faculty, campus locations, and ensembles.
NDSU University Archives and Yukah Goetz have assisted Dr. Groves in the development of this book, which will be available for purchase in March 2013.
