NDSU Baroque Festival to Present Handel's Messiah

North Dakota State University School of Music is proud to present a special holiday performance of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, December 9 at 2:00 PM in Festival Concert Hall.
Coordinated by Dr. Jo Ann Miller, Baroque Festival Music Director, over 200 students in five choirs, and the Baroque Festival Orchestra, will present Handel’s monumental piece, which has become a holiday tradition throughout the world. Premiered in Dublin, Ireland in 1742, the Messiah combines Old and New Testament texts concerning the prophecies of a savior.
The five choirs performing include the NDSU Concert Choir, Madrigal Singers, University Chamber Singers, Cantemus, and the Statesmen of NDSU.
