Jones, Froelich to Present Recital

Robert JonesRobert Jones, baritone, and Andrew Froelich, piano, will present a faculty recital titled “Pilgrimage” on Thursday, January 24 at 7:30 PM in Beckwith Recital Hall.

Each piece in the recital will feature an aspect of pilgrimage, or a search for moral or spiritual significance. They will perform songs by Randall Thompson, Lee Hoiby, John Duke, and Carlisle Floyd in addition to folk songs arranged by Benjamin Britten.

Jones is a Professor of Voice and has appeared as soloist with ensembles in the United States, Canada, and Bolivia, including the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir and Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Nebraska Chamber Orchestra, and the Bolivian Chamber Music Society. He has performed numerous solo and chamber music recitals throughout the region and often appears as a leading role with various opera companies.

Andrew FroelichFroelich is a Professor of Piano and Theory and an active musician in the community. He has performed numerous solo piano and chamber music recitals, is the principal keyboard player for the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra, and often serves as music director for area theatre organizations.
