Trio Carrefour to Perform at NDSU

Trio Carrefour, an ensemble dedicated to commissioning, arranging, and performing chamber music for the medium of saxophone, piano, and percussion, will perform at the North Dakota State University Beckwith Recital Hall on Friday, January 25 at 7:30 pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
This newly formed ensemble has performed at the North American Saxophone Alliance national conference in Arizona and at the World Saxophone Congress in St. Andrews, Scotland. Ensemble members include Matthew Patnode, Associate Professor of Saxophone and Jazz Studies, and Sue Nagel, piano coordinator, both of North Dakota State University, plus Lisa Rogers, Professor of Percussion Studies at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
Trio Carrefour will perform pieces by John Williams, Christopher Gable, William Penn, and Barbara Thompson. They will also perform at the University of Minnesota-Morris on January 22; the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis on January 23; and Bemidji State University on January 24.
