A study of love and loss in Middle America through the eyes of alien visitors.

The NDSU Little Country Theatre completes the season with TALES OF THE LOST FORMICANS, a dark comedy about a Midwestern family struggling to find themselves while being observed by aliens.

The story centers on Evelyn and Jim McKissick, an aging couple slowing recognizing the onset of Jim's Alzheimer's-induced dementia. Their daughter, Cathy, has recently moved home following a particularly bitter divorce. Throw in her angry teenage son and conspiracy-crazed neighbor and you have a complete set of quirky characters. At the heart of each character's suffering is a sense of being lost – physically, psychically, spiritually, and emotionally – and the watchful eyes of aliens from outer space frame their stories.
