NDSU Theatre is pleased to present Becky Gulsvig, Live at Askanase Hall on Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 PM in Askanase Hall on the NDSU campus. Admission is free, however, donations to the NDSU Theatre Scholarship Fund would be gratefully accepted.
Moorhead native and Broadway actress Becky Gulsvig has graced the stage in numerous performances across the nation, most recently as Eponine in Les Miserables at the Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, Florida. She is best known for her role as Elle Woods on the first national tour of Legally Blonde, for which she was nominated for a Helen Hayes award and made a special appearance at the 63rd Annual Tony Awards. She has been seen on All My Children and performed with the Broadway cast of Legally Blonde on The View, The Today Show, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
During the April 6 performance, Gulsvig will perform several of her favorite pieces, including pieces from The Sound of Music, The Little Mermaid, South Pacific, Wicked, Legally Blonde, Les Miserables, and Beauty and the Beast, to name a few. She will be joined on stage by Dr. Katherine Noone, soprano and NDSU Theatre faculty member, in addition to several area students who auditioned in mid-March for the opportunity to perform with Gulsvig.
