Mark Spitzer joined the NDSU Theatre Arts department in the fall of
2006. He received his M.F.A. in Theatrical Lighting and Technical Direction
from MSU-Mankato. Spitzer served his internship at The Guthrie Theater
(Minneapolis) working on the debut of Arthur Miller's Resurrection
Blues. He designed and taught in South Dakota and Kansas, and has worked
in several other states before returning to his home state of North
Dakota. He has also worked in tourism, as a free-lance writer, a small
business owner in geophysical engineering, and canoed the lengths of
the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers.
