Chemistry and Molecular Biology
Abstract: Gender bias is an ubiquitous and
persistent issue in STEM education which is institutionalized
though gender-biased assessments. Therefore, this project will
examine the gender bias inherent in STEM assessments with the goal
of better understanding gender bias in assessment and producing
examples of equitable assessments, as well as a knowledge base for
the design of future assessments, that will provide a means to
drive systemic reform in STEM education.
