Rick D. Johnson is the General
Counsel and has been employed by NDSU since 1989. Prior to
that, he was the Chief Counsel for the N.D. State Board of
Higher Education for seven years and was a former Assistant
Attorney General for the State of North Dakota. He has
experience in private practice and has specialized in
higher education law since 1982. |

Debra McDonough is the
Assistant to the General Counsel and has worked at NDSU
since 2001. She has an MBA in Human Resource Management and
serves as the General Counsel's legal assistant. Prior to
coming to NDSU she served 21 years in the United States
Navy, working in the administrative/personnel field. |
