The "Geology" minor requires a minimum of 18 semester hours of coursework in Geology, selected in consultation with a Department of Geosciences advisor. Select Geography and Soil Science courses may be substituted for Geology courses. No more than eight of these semester hours can be derived from courses of the "introductory" level, such as GEOL 105, 105L, 106, 106L, and SOIL 210. A minor program is submitted to the university registrar for official recording. A minimum of eight minor credits must be earned in residence at NDSU.
