2013 Applications

Be sure to have your school's contact information ready before starting the application process. You will need the school's mailing address, office phone, and a principle or counselor's name and email.

A complete application must include:

  1. Student application completed in full
    • Personal Essay attached
    • Additional Persuasive Essay attached for those applying for the English program.
    • Paper copy of the student application (with signatures) is given to the principal/counselor to be mailed to NDSU. Applications should be postmarked by February 22nd 2013.
  2. High School Grade transcript
  3. Most recent scores on standardized exams
  4. Two recommendation forms:
    • Counselor/Principal
    • Teacher in the chosen NDGS study area (Computer Science/Information Technology, English, Mathematics, Science, Visual Arts)
  5. All parts of the application are important... if a part is missing it will jeopardize your application.

Note: The student is responsible for coordinating all of the component parts of this application with his/her principal or school counselor. The student must give his/her completed (typed and signed) paper application to the principal/counselor and must make sure that his/her other two references (Principal and Teacher) know that they need to give their completed references to the principal/counselor. Once all parts of the application are received, the principal/counselor can mail it to us.

Note: The program is FREE to all North Dakota public school sophomores and juniors. Private and homeschool students can make arrangements to attend for free through their local public school district. Check with your counselor or school office.
