
The purpose of the Graduate School Research Awards is to recognize outstanding contributions made to research by graduate students at NDSU. One award of $1000 will be made each year in each college.
- The graduate student must be in good academic standing and currently enrolled at NDSU.
- The student must be involved in independent research (may be supervised).
- Students may not win the award more than once.
- The selection committee will be determined by the Dean of the Academic College and the Graduate Dean.
- Submit nominations to the Academic College to which your department belongs no later than March 7, 2008.
- Student will be nominated by their home department. Students enrolled in interdisciplinary programs may be nominated in the college of their primary residence.
- Each department/program may nominate one individual for the award.
- The nomination packet will include:
- A letter from the department which describe the outstanding research contributions made by the student.
- A description of the research experiences of the nominee. This should include publications, presentation, and other significant research accomplishments of the nominee.
- A two page (double spaced) statement written by the nominee which describes his or her research interests.
