Course Proposal Procedures

The Curriculum Committee of the Graduate Council reviews all course proposals for graduate level course, including 400/600. The purpose of this committee is to verify all required information is included on the request form and that required information is listed clearly on the syllabus.

Once a course is approved by the Curriculum Committee, it is brought to the Graduate Council for final approval. After Graduate Council approval, the proposal is sent the Academic Affairs Committee of University Senate.

Course proposals, program proposals and changes should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the scheduled Graduate Council meeting, as these must be reviewed by the Curriculum Committee prior to the meeting.
